What To Wear: Senior Pictures On A Rainy Day

Have you ever wanted to take pictures in the rain? I always have and my desire finally came true! I had the most awesome senior photo session the other day and I am so happy to share about it on here! We headed over to Abrams Park in Ridgefield, Washington. It was one of those perfect rainy days that you can only find in the Pacific Northwest.

You might wonder what to wear. Don’t let the rain dampen your spirits – embrace the opportunity to create unique and unforgettable photos!

First and foremost, comfort is key. Opt for clothing that will keep you warm and dry throughout the session. Layers are a great choice as they provide flexibility if the weather changes. Consider wearing a cozy sweater or a neutral cardigan.

In terms of colors, earthy tones and muted colors work well in a forest setting. Think soft greens, browns, and warm neutrals that blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Avoid wearing vibrant or fluorescent colors as they may distract from the serene atmosphere of the forest.

Shoes are another important consideration. Since it’s a rainy day, it’s best to avoid delicate or expensive footwear. Opt for closed-toe shoes or boots that provide good traction and are waterproof. This way, you can confidently explore the forest without worrying about slipping or ruining your shoes. Or you can go barefoot like Aileen did here. She was amazing and really pulled through with the vision she had for her senior photos. Way to go Aileen! 🙂

Aileen is a talented creative that has many Pinterest collages with outfit inspiration for your next rainy senior session or special event. 😉

Accessories can add a touch of personality to your photos. Consider wearing a hat or a headband that complements your outfit and matches the overall style of the session. Scarves can also be a stylish and practical addition, keeping you warm and adding visual interest to your photos.

Don’t forget to bring along any items or props that are meaningful to you. This could include a favorite book, instrument, or sports accessory. These personal touches will enhance the authenticity and reflect your individuality in the photos.

Lastly, if you’re a senior looking to add a touch of natural beauty to your photos and embrace the fall season, I highly recommend going for a senior photo session in the forest on a rainy day at Abrams Park. It’s a unique experience that will create memories you’ll cherish forever. Plus, it’ll give you a chance to show off your adventurous and fun-loving spirit. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

I hope my little blog post gave you some inspiration and got you excited about the magic that can happen in the rain. Go out there, have fun, and capture some incredible moments!
